A key tool and critical activity for the fulfilment of the HRDA’s mission is the conduct of research and studies, as well as the implementation of related developmental actions on strategic issues related to the training and development of human resources. This includes a focus on forecasting employment needs in the economy of Cyprus, the employment and training needs in sectors with growth prospects, as well as the assessment and evaluation of the HRDA’s activities. Promoting the best international principles, methods, and practices in conducting research and studies is and remains a constant goal to ensure the quality of the research produced. The various aspects of the research and development activities are determined by relevant policy decisions made periodically by the HRDA’s Board of Directors. The research and studies are categorised into the following four thematic areas:
• Trends and Forecasts of Employment and Training Needs
• Assessment of the Impact of the HRDA’s Activities on the Economy of Cyprus
• Analysis of Vocational Education and Training Systems and Infrastructures
• Specific Studies on the Labour Market and Human Resources
