Training Programmes for the Acquisition of Entrepreneurship Knowledge and Skills

Purpose
To provide training programmes to unemployed persons in entrepreneurship knowledge and skills that are aligned with the continuously evolving needs of the labour market.
Key Provisions
- The Project aims to provide unemployed persons who are interested in establishing their own business with specialised knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship development for the establishment and operation of a business, through their participation in training programmes implemented by Vocational Training Centres (VTCs).
- Eligible participants in the Project are unemployed persons who are interested in establishing their own business.
- The VTCs implementing the training programmes are selected through competitive procedures for the conclusion of public contracts.
- Trainees are selected on the basis of priority criteria.
- Applications from interested persons wishing to participate in the training programmes are submitted through the HRDA’s digital portal, “Ermis”, or through the HRDA website by expressing their interest in participating in the training programmes under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
- Persons interested in participating in the training programmes must register as natural persons in the Ermis system.
Financial Coverage
All costs of the training programmes are covered, and trainees participate in the programmes free of charge. In addition, allowances are provided to trainees for their participation in the training programmes.
Cooperation
For the information of VTCs and trainees, the HRDA issues a Policy and Procedures Guide, which provides a detailed description of the policy, procedures, and the criteria/conditions for approval at each stage of the Project’s implementation.
