CYPRUS CONFEDERATION OF PROFESSIONAL CRAFTSMEN AND SHOPKEEPERS (CyCPOVEK)

CyCPOVEK was initially founded in 1942 under the name “Union of Small and Medium Enterprises”, in order to enable the professional craftsmen and shopkeepers to face collectively the shortage of raw materials and other goods they needed for their small businesses and their stores during the Second World War. In 2006 it was renamed into the “Cyprus Confederation of Professional Craftsmen and Shopkeepers”.

It has more than 10.000 members, encompassing all fields of economic activity (retail trade, services, technical trades / crafts, transport services).

Throughout its history, CyPOVEK has proven to be a reliable supporter and promoter of the interests of small businesspeople, working hard to influence legislation in line with its members’ interests. CyCPOVEK is participating in several consultative governmental committees in Cyprus.
